About
I spent 22 years inside the NHS, the last few leading a team of 150 engineers building the national Federated Data Platform at NHS England. I have sat in the rooms where decisions get made about which technology gets adopted, which vendors get through the door, and which data programmes get funded or killed.
Now I help NHS organisations get clarity on the Federated Data Platform, and I help health technology companies navigate a system that looks impenetrable from the outside.
I am the only independent consultant in this space who has operated at both trust level and national level. I built data platforms from scratch at individual Trusts. I then ran the national data engineering operation. That means I understand how data flows from a clinician seeing a patient all the way through to national reporting, and I know where it breaks down.
